The funny thing about blogging is, you never really feel like anyone is reading your blog. Facebook is such an instant reward; post your thoughts and an image and, hey, people read it and reply! Easy. Blogging is a bit like airing a journal to the public, but feeling like no one is out there. Comments motivate a blogger to blog. So... here's my motivation to solicit some comments to fuel future posts. I haven't mentioned a peep about this secret online, so I'm telling my secret here first. We don't have kids, yet I delight in birth announcements. Here's my version:
Announcing the arrival of my new silver baby, Betty Jane! I'm so thrilled and excited about her potential! She's 17 feet long and is such a beauty, with a completely blank interior. Dreamy!
One month ago, "Betty Jane Bambea Two", a 1964 Airstream Bambi II joined my little silver shiny Airstream collection. The owners (and now friends) are the same ones that I bought my 1962 Bambi, Norma from. They contacted me to see if I'd be interested in their Bambi II. Ummmm... yes I am! It was fun to connect with them again after 4 years. Betty Jane's name comes from a combination of the original owner and the previous owner. Stay tuned with plans for the interior, I'm going incorporate products from my new favorite manufacturers. As always a big thank you for reading my blog. Please post a comment to let me know you're out there!

Congrats on the silver beauty!! Stop by and see me I have a 63 vintage silver streak that I use for photo ops... parties... vintage trailer rental.. etc... Nothing like a vintage trailer...
Hi Valerie,
Thanks for the congrats!
Your Silver Streak is beautiful and so is your Shasta.
I love doing the rentals too; they're a blast!

AWESOME NEW BABY!
I'm so excited for you. I hope to have my own silver child one day. :)
Thank you! Keep me posted so we can plan a play date.
You will get one, I see it in your shiny future...
Hey Kristiana! I've been following your blog for a few months and my husband gave me a sliver trailer necklace from your collection for Christmas - love them both! Would love to know about any other bambis out there that are available- I've been wishing and hoping and looking for a very very long time. Keep up the great writing!
Holy Moly, I was checking facebook and noticed my friend Rosa had purchased one of your necklaces, with a link to your studio site, which led me to your WHAM-O trailer site. If you can believe this: last weekend I bought my very first Airstream, a 1967 Airstream Overlander, especially because my husband and I are going back to burningman this year (first time together) and I wanted the ability to pop-up my book-binding biz and jewelry-making studio anywhere we might travel. Uncanny. Weird.
Any burningman airstream tips are WELCOME. Glad to meetcha. Also - I broke a window in my new airstream and can't get the mechanism apart from the plexi....somebody long before me epoxy'd it in with something rubbery. Have you ever encountered this? Advice?
LOVE your work and airstreams. Much love from Joshua Tree,
kt
Stephanie,
Thanks so much for the comment. That was sweet of your husband!
My advice to find your Bambi is to talk to anyone you know who has one (as you did with this blog) and let them know you're looking. They may not be ready to sell now, but they'll keep you in mind in the future. It will happen! Keep me posted...
All shiny good things,
Kristiana
congrats on another silver dream. keep the blog updates coming.
Thanks, Friend. Your encouragement is appreciated.
More posts to come... Thanks for reading!
Hi Kristina!
I'm so glad you found me!! I love knowing that your camper was in the photo shoot I posted...it is a beauty!! I hope to do a feature on you sometime... Love your new babe!!
Kristiana! Oh how I aspire to be like you and have my own little fleet of beautiful silver shiny Airstreams! I absolutely can not wait to see what you will do with the interior!! Impatiently waiting for new posts . . . xoxox
Thanks, Get Campie & Monica! She's pretty, huh?! I'm excited to say the least.
Well the other thing about a blog is that friends follow your progress, so it's time to get to work!
Thanks again for reading.
Looking forward to reading your posts too...
xoxo,
Kristiana
lucky lucky you!! Congratulations!!
Hi, you must have told me about your new baby a few weeks ago. We've been waiting for our 'baby shower' invite. At least now we know that the gift will be pink....pink and silver. Some how I don't think a blue gift would be appropiate....but blue goes good with silver too. Maybe Betty Jane will be a tomboy.
Neil and Lynn
She takes after her Mama: bright, shiny and all GORGEOUS! And ready for you to work your magic. What a lucky little trailer.
Congratulations! She's beautiful!
She's a beauty Kristiana! Will she be located on the east coast as you had dreamed? Looking forward to your interior designs. How exciting to have a blank canvas to work with!
I'm following too! Secretly would love to be doing the same
Your before and after retro work inspires me!
Congrats K! I read this post awhile ago - and I have been dying for updates! I am in full fledged restoration mode myself with Luna, my 56 Caravanner - and have started a blog too. Reread your comment about not feeling like anyone was reading - and Im feeling like that too. My blog is mostly for documentation purposes - but I get your idea. I literally cant wait for more info on your Baby Betty! Fill us in!!! WK
Thank you, thank you!
Sky, Betty Jane may have NY in her future... we'll see where her career takes her.
Updates are coming; thanks for the encouragement!
