adulthood

Don't you love reading the dreams you had as a kid? If you have kids, don't you love reading and hearing their dreams and wonder if they'll manifest? Well, my childhood home is for sale (anyone looking for an awesome 1928 Colonial in Sleepy Hollow, NY- suburb of NYC?). Anyway, let's just say I spent a good deal of the summer weeding through photos and writings I've kept & my folks have kept for a looonnnng time. This one was a favorite. I wrote it in third grade. It reads:

Adulthood
When I grow up, I want to be an actress or a dancer or a teacher. I want to live in California. I like it there. I would have three children like my mother. I wonder how its like being a mother. Maybe you have to pay all the bills or cook, buy The Food and do the dishes. If I was a mother, I would take my children on trips like a fair.

Well, one of those came true, I live in Califonia and I love it here. Life is good!
