Holy smokes, long time no post. Some folks are great at traveling and posting, this trip, I completely unplugged (does an iphone and forwarding business calls count?!). I've been on the East coast for 5 weeks and am back now, settling in. Thank you, Andrea, for looking for me!
One of the main reasons for my trip back east was a workshop at Penland School of Crafts in Penland, North Carolina. It was a two week tableware workshop with Fred Fenster, a man I have wanted to study with for 10 years now. (I will post on him soon- he's incredible). Let me tell you, I am in love with pewter. It is the most underrated metal out there (hence the t-shirt I'm wearing that my classmate made - "Pewter, the other white metal" . Well, just wanted to check in. I have lots to blog on about...
I hope y'all are having a fantastic & creative summer as well. Make some time to work with your talented hands! http://www.penland.org/

Welcome back! Glad you were away for something enjoyed. Pewter is so amazing; love the depth and warmth of it, especially how it gets better with use and age. I opted for pewter over sterling for my fancy flatware and have always been happy that I did. I look forward to seeing your work in pewter, too! I've been meaning to post about your trailers and jewelry - will leave a comment here when I do!
