SCRAP (in San Francisco), is an amazing resource for artists, teachers and everyone else who's inspired by objects. They have it all, second hand tiles, mini bottles (great for wedding, etc.), fabrics, flooring samples. (So great to try out a style with a swatch without committing to an entire roll) . I found this welcome mat / rug swatch from SCRAP. There's a label on the back, Pan Pac. Seattle, Penthouse. How cool is that? I love know the history of objects and it cost about a buck. Easy to vacuum right up. Scrap's website has links to directions and other cities' similar resources: http://www.scrap-sf.org/links.htm
