When I was visiting my folks this month, I came across "Rusty's Notebook". A notebook that my dad kept from the day we adopted Rusty, a beagle mix, from the shelter. On the cover were three polaroid photos, one of each of us girls posing with Rusty. Inside are all of the details of her adoption and life following. I still miss that doggie. She still makes us laugh and the kids laugh when we reminisce about her antics. My niece and nephew are going to SPCA camp. What a fantastic idea and opportunity. I'm inspired by them to volunteer at a no kill shelter when I get back. I also need to start an "Osa notebook"!
